New Species Found on Ebay E-mail

Dr Richard Harrington was surfing the Amber items on Ebay and  bagged himself a serious find. For £20 he got himself a small piece of Amber containing a, till now, unknown species of insect. The piece was sent to an aphid expert in Denmark who failed to identify the piece as a known species.  He now has the new species named after him as Mindarus harringtoni .

You can read more about this article here on the BBC website or here on the Telegraph.

You could bag yourself a new species of your own in our lucky dip section in our amber shop if your are lucky as none of the pieces sold have been identified.
